02/16/2017: Experiences of a Helicopter Flight Nurse

Crista Lenk-Stathers will speak on her day to day experiences as a helicopter nurse for John Hopkins and UMBC. She will cover protocol, procedures, and the emotion that goes into her work.

6:30pm – 8:30pm
Linden Hall
Ellicott City, MD

Speaker: Crista Lenk-Stathers

Crista was born and raised a Southwestern PA girl from a blue-collar family. She’s been married for 13 years to her husband John, a Narcotics and Special Investigation officer in DC.
She divides her time between UMBC and the helicopter. She has been flying for over 13 years now.
In her spare time — a statement she finds hilarious — she attempts to be a normal functioning human running on 4 hours of sleep, de-stressing by gardening, and snuggling and spoiling the crap out of her three German Shepherds.  She trains one of her Shepherds in obedience and protection and mostly tries to indulge her left-handed freak side by crafting.
